About the Role
We seek a qualified Professional Engineer to oversee construction contracts for road infrastructure projects, from tender documentation through implementation to final project closure.
Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng/B.Sc Eng)
- • ECSA registration as Professional Engineer (Mandatory)
- • 3+ years post-qualification engineering experience
- • Valid Code B driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- • Develop technical specifications for tenders and construction contracts
- • Design cost-effective engineering solutions aligned with industry standards
- • Review technical manuals and standard operating procedures
- • Supervise engineering works to ensure compliance
- • Mentor junior engineers and manage team performance
- • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation
Technical Expertise Required
- • Road construction & maintenance protocols
- • Contract administration (GCC 2015, COLTO specifications)
- • Tender evaluation and adjudication processes
- • Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office
Essential Skills
- • Strong technical reporting and analytical abilities
- • Effective decision-making and problem-solving
- • Team leadership and communication skills
- • Regular regional travel required
Salary Package
OSD Scale:
Grade A: R879,342 – R938,061 p/a
Grade B: R990,669 – R1,067,235 p/a
Grade C: R1,127,100 – R1,323,267 p/a
