About the Role

We seek a qualified Professional Engineer to oversee construction contracts for road infrastructure projects, from tender documentation through implementation to final project closure.

Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng/B.Sc Eng)
  • • ECSA registration as Professional Engineer (Mandatory)
  • • 3+ years post-qualification engineering experience
  • • Valid Code B driver’s license

Key Responsibilities

  • • Develop technical specifications for tenders and construction contracts
  • • Design cost-effective engineering solutions aligned with industry standards
  • • Review technical manuals and standard operating procedures
  • • Supervise engineering works to ensure compliance
  • • Mentor junior engineers and manage team performance
  • • Monitor project budgets and resource allocation

Technical Expertise Required

  • • Road construction & maintenance protocols
  • • Contract administration (GCC 2015, COLTO specifications)
  • • Tender evaluation and adjudication processes
  • • Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office

Essential Skills

  • • Strong technical reporting and analytical abilities
  • • Effective decision-making and problem-solving
  • • Team leadership and communication skills
  • • Regular regional travel required

Salary Package

OSD Scale:

Grade A: R879,342 – R938,061 p/a

Grade B: R990,669 – R1,067,235 p/a

Grade C: R1,127,100 – R1,323,267 p/a
