Role Overview

Manage operational use of road networks, ensuring compliance with mobility standards, legislative requirements, and proper utilization of road reserves.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public sector experience in road infrastructure management
  • Expertise in Traffic Impact Studies/Arterial Management Plans
  • Knowledge of land use/transportation interface dynamics
  • Additional training in Traffic Engineering/Transport Studies

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop road management strategies and arterial plans
  • Assess spatial planning impacts on road networks
  • Evaluate development proposals affecting infrastructure
  • Supervise engineering teams and mentor junior staff
  • Manage budgets, procurement, and regulatory compliance

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in transport legislation (NLTA, SPLUMA)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communication across technical/non-technical audiences
  • Advanced MS Office skills and project management experience
