Role Overview
Manage operational use of road networks, ensuring compliance with mobility standards, legislative requirements, and proper utilization of road reserves.
Preferred Qualifications
- Public sector experience in road infrastructure management
- Expertise in Traffic Impact Studies/Arterial Management Plans
- Knowledge of land use/transportation interface dynamics
- Additional training in Traffic Engineering/Transport Studies
Key Responsibilities
- Develop road management strategies and arterial plans
- Assess spatial planning impacts on road networks
- Evaluate development proposals affecting infrastructure
- Supervise engineering teams and mentor junior staff
- Manage budgets, procurement, and regulatory compliance
Required Skills
- Proficiency in transport legislation (NLTA, SPLUMA)
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Effective communication across technical/non-technical audiences
- Advanced MS Office skills and project management experience
