Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor SCADA systems and record plant operations data
  • Conduct equipment inspections and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Maintain pump stations and water treatment processes
  • Coordinate with Senior Process Controller on operational issues
  • Prepare maintenance reports and service requests

Requirements by Experience Level

9+ years experience:

  • Grade 10 (or equivalent NTC I) + Operations Certificate
  • OR 30+ credits in Water/Wastewater NQF 3

7+ years experience:

  • Grade 11 (or NTC II) + Operations Certificate
  • OR Water Treatment Practice N2 certification

3+ years experience:

  • Grade 12 (or NTC III) + Operations Certificate
  • OR Wastewater Treatment N3 certification

2+ years experience:

  • Water/Wastewater NQF 5 qualification

Entry-level candidates:

  • National Diploma in Water Sciences/Chemical Engineering
  • OR Water/Wastewater NQF 6 qualification
