Qualification: National Certificate in Engineering
Experience: 8+ years

Requirements

• ECSA registration as Professional Engineering Technician
• Valid EB driver’s license
• Proficiency with SAP systems
• In-depth knowledge of SANS 474 standards and Electricity Bylaw
• Physical capability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions
• Availability for emergency call-outs and overtime duties

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams in electricity metering operations
• Oversee maintenance/replacement programs for metering systems
• Verify compliance with national metering standards
• Coordinate with developers on metering-related projects
• Manage specialized meter installations (CT/VT connected systems)
• Optimize team performance through mentoring and resource management
