Principal Technician

  • Job Type: Full Time

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician (Pr Techni Eng).
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience after qualification, focusing on protection and control systems, including commissioning high-voltage primary plant and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of the IEC 61850 standard and hands-on experience with protection testing under this standard.
  • Appointment as a Responsible Person under NRS 040 Switching Regulations.
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office.
  • Valid driver’s license: Code B/EB.

Special Conditions

  • Work in all weather conditions.
  • Availability for overtime, emergencies, and standby duties outside normal hours.
  • Participation in the Essential Users Vehicle Scheme.
