Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Nursing) registered with SANC
- Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing Education & Administration
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (NQF 9)
- Valid SANC Professional Nurse registration
Professional Experience
- 11+ years clinical nursing experience post-registration
- 7+ years nursing education experience
- 5+ years managerial experience (3+ as Academic Department Head)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing education programs (undergraduate & postgraduate)
- Manage campus resources (staff, facilities, budget)
- Ensure compliance with SANC/CHE/DHET standards
- Lead curriculum implementation and quality assurance
- Coordinate clinical placements and student affairs
- Foster research initiatives and staff development
