Position Details:

• Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or related quantitative field
• Experience Needed: 8+ years in data analysis roles
• Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
• Fields: Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, Information Technology

Candidate Profile:

We seek professionals with:

• Proven track record leading complex data projects
• Advanced statistical analysis capabilities
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and/or R programming
• Experience with self-service analytics platforms
• Strong technical communication skills for diverse audiences
• Leadership experience in mentoring junior analysts

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement statistical models for city operations
• Develop data products supporting municipal decision-making
• Establish data governance frameworks and best practices
• Lead cross-functional analytics projects from conception to delivery
• Translate technical findings into actionable insights
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of analytical processes
• Research emerging technologies in data science
