Position Requirements:

• Grade 12/NQF Level 4 certification
• National Diploma in Legal Interpreting (NQF 5) or equivalent qualification
• 5 years’ practical court interpreting experience, including 2 years in supervisory role
• Language proficiency: English + two indigenous languages (Afrikaans, SeTswana, IsiXhosa)
• Valid driver’s license required

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise interpreting team operations
• Provide accurate courtroom interpretation services
• Translate legal documents and evidence materials
• Maintain and update specialized legal terminology databases
• Support court record management processes
• Coordinate procurement of external translation services
