Position Overview:

We seek a registered Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant to join our Thatchfield team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services while adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Requirements:

  • ✅ Matric certificate
  • ✅ Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
  • ✅ SAPC registration (mandatory)
  • ✅ Experience with pharmacy management systems (Unisolv preferred)
  • ✅ Proficiency in English + 1 additional language
  • ✅ Flexibility for retail schedule (includes weekends/holidays)

Core Responsibilities:

Pharmaceutical Operations:

  • Process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
  • Manage medication dispensing and labeling
  • Maintain stock control (Schedule 1-6 medications)

Patient Support:

  • Provide medication usage guidance
  • Handle medical aid claims and approvals
  • Maintain up-to-date patient profiles

Compliance & Administration:

  • Adhere to SAPC regulations
  • Manage inventory (FEFO system)
  • Complete bi-annual stock audits

Preferred Skills:

  • ● Third language proficiency
  • ● SAP/E-Scripting experience
  • ● Knowledge of family planning medications
