Role Summary:

Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services by addressing patient medication needs while adhering to legal and ethical standards. Report directly to the Pharmacy Manager.

Core Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 certificate
• Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
• Active registration with SA Pharmacy Council
• Proficiency in English + 1 additional language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Unisolv/SAP systems
• Oncology medication expertise
• 3rd language proficiency
• Knowledge of family planning medications

Key Responsibilities:

Pharmaceutical Services:

• Dispense Schedule 1-2 medications under supervision
• Prepare non-sterile compounds per approved formulas
• Accurately manage prescription processing from interpretation to fulfillment

Patient Care:

• Provide clear medication usage instructions
• Manage chronic/HIV/oncology treatment authorizations
• Maintain up-to-date patient profiles

Operational Excellence:

• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory
• Process medical aid claims accurately
• Conduct bi-annual stock audits

Essential Skills:

• Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with multitasking capability
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent customer service orientation
