Position Overview:
Location: Hermanus, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Entry-level (Post-Basic qualification required)
Core Requirements:
• Matric certificate
• Valid Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification
• Active registration with SA Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Unisolv/SAP systems
• Knowledge of oncology medications
• Third language proficiency
• Understanding of family planning services
Key Responsibilities:
• Dispense Schedule 1-5 medications under pharmacist supervision
• Manage prescription processing and patient consultations
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory control
• Process medical aid claims and resolve billing queries
• Provide health promotion advice to patients
• Assist with pharmaceutical compounding and repackaging
Candidate Profile:
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills
• Excellent communicator in English + 1 other language
• Team player with problem-solving abilities
• Physically capable of prolonged standing
• Clean criminal/credit record
Work Environment:
• Temperature-controlled dispensary setting
• Strict adherence to health/safety protocols
• Regular stock management responsibilities
