Position Overview

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a reliable and experienced Porter/Driver to assist in transporting patients, equipment, and materials within the hospital. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth hospital operations and providing excellent care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and escort patients safely between departments
• Provide transportation services for hospital needs
• Handle collections and deliveries
• Assist in emergency evacuations when necessary

Qualifications

Essential:

• Grade 10 qualification
• 5 years of driving experience with a Code 08 license
• Experience in customer service or public interaction
• Knowledge of road safety regulations
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing)

Preferred:

• Healthcare experience
• PDP driving permit

• Emergency evacuation procedures
• General administration tasks

• Infection control principles
• Microsoft Office basics
• Navigation skills (maps/GPS)
