Job Details

• Job Type: Full Time
• Location: Kimberley, Northern Cape
• Qualification: Matric (essential)
• Experience: Experience in farm equipment and the farm industry

Responsibilities

• Drive and maintain tractors and other farm equipment regularly.
• Operate tractors safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and ensure tractors and attachments are well-maintained and lubricated.
• Transport materials and operate agricultural equipment for planting and harvesting.
• Prepare fields for planting and harvest vegetables manually or using machinery.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers as needed.
• Report crop progress to the Farm Manager.
• Spray pesticides along roadsides and field perimeters to control weeds.
• Slash grass along roads and waterways, and grade roads.
• Assist with other tasks assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
• Follow procedures outlined in the Starke Ayres Policy Manual.

Requirements

• Matric qualification is essential.
• Proven experience in the farm industry and with farm equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Experience in performing maintenance on tractors and farming equipment.
