Plant Operator (Arboriculture) – ERWM21831

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 10
  • Relevant experience in maintenance, landscaping, and operating heavy specialized plant equipment according to manufacturer specifications
  • 1 year of experience in a similar environment
  • Physical ability to perform all required work

Core Responsibilities

  • Carry out all tasks assigned by the supervisor
  • Clean plant and equipment after use and store it in the designated area
  • Perform maintenance duties with a range of specialized equipment
  • Weed, shape, and establish flower beds
  • Pick up litter and clean dustbins
  • Sweep roads, road edges, paved areas, and offices
  • Excavate and backfill trenches and holes
  • Prune plants manually
  • Perform all activities safely and according to manufacturer specifications
  • Report any risks to the supervisor
  • Follow Batho Pele principles
