Introduction

This role involves providing pharmaceutical care services within the scope of practice and handling day-to-day dispensary administration based on company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The main focus is on script administration and general dispensing duties, with an emphasis on patient satisfaction.

Job Objectives

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers professionally, maintaining strict confidentiality within SOPs and agreed timelines.
• Handle script administration and any related claiming or capturing procedures.
• Ensure accurate and complete management of all patient profiles.
• Communicate with healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Resolve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

• Engage with customers via phone or other methods about medications and healthcare services.
• Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy center.
• Manage queries related to prescriptions.
• Handle patient profile management.
• Assist with chronic medication authorizations.
• Coordinate with other departments.
• Perform additional tasks as needed for operations.

Knowledge

• Product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) items.
• South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) and relevant legal requirements.
• Understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Experience
