Introduction

The role involves providing pharmaceutical care services within the scope of practice and handling day-to-day dispensary administration according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The focus is on script administration and general dispensing duties, with an emphasis on patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers professionally, maintaining strict confidentiality within SOPs and agreed timelines.
  • Administer scripts and handle any related claiming or capturing procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and complete handling of all patient profiles.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals when needed.
  • Solve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

  • Interact with customers via telephone or other means about medication and healthcare services.
  • Accurately capture scripts received at the central pharmacy.
  • Handle queries regarding prescriptions.
  • Manage patient profiles.
  • Assist with chronic medication authorizations.
  • Liaise with other departments.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required by operations.

Knowledge

  • Product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) items.
  • Knowledge of SAPC regulations and relevant laws.
  • Understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Ethical practices and compliance.

Experience
