Introduction

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services within scope of practice and handling day-to-day dispensary administration according to company Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). Focus on administering scripts to perform general dispensing duties, with an emphasis on patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers professionally and confidentially within SOPs and agreed timelines.
  • Administer scripts and perform any related claiming or capturing procedures.
  • Handle all profiles accurately and completely.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals when needed.
  • Solve problems and follow up on queries.

Duties

  • Interact with customers by telephone or other means about medication and healthcare services.
  • Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre.
  • Handle queries about prescriptions.
  • Manage patient profiles.
  • Assist with chronic authorizations.
  • Liaise with all other departments.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as needed for operations.

Knowledge

  • Product knowledge, including over-the-counter (OTC) items.
  • SAPC and relevant legal knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of chronic authorization processes and procedures.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Ethical practices and compliance.
