Introduction
Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services (within scope of practice) and performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to the company’s Standard Operating Plans (SOPs). Focus on administering scripts and providing general dispensing duties, with an emphasis on patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers professionally and maintain strict confidentiality within SOPs and agreed timelines.
- Administer scripts and handle any claiming or capturing procedures.
- Ensure accurate and complete handling of all profiles worked on.
- Interact with healthcare professionals when needed.
- Solve problems and follow up on queries.
Duties
- Interact with customers via telephone or other means regarding medication and healthcare services.
- Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy centre.
- Handle queries regarding prescriptions.
- Manage patient profiles.
- Assist with chronic authorizations.
- Liaise with all other departments.
- Handle ad hoc requirements as per operational needs.
Knowledge
- Product knowledge (including over-the-counter items).
- SAPC and relevant legal knowledge.
- Sound knowledge of chronic authorization processes and procedures.
- Customer service orientation.
