This new temporary vacancy has been created in our Estates team, at our offices in Rondebosch. This role
is responsible for orderly and administration of pending Estates matters, including handling of all opening
interviews, correspondence with the Masters Office, beneficiaries and third party providers, and preparation
of accounting records relating to the distribution and liquidation accounts. Role is ideally suited to applicants
with previous estates administration experience, with a minimum of 5 years experience in this area.
Requirements
• Conduct opening interviews, and maintain ongoing client liaison and feedback
• Interpretation of wills
• Ensure smooth and timeous estate administration, and finalization of same
• Liaison with Master of the High Court regarding reporting of estate and correspondence of same as well as
ad-hoc queries
• Liaison with debtors and creditors to determine claims against estate and correspondence of same,
evaluation of all claims against estate, and payment of valid claims
• Liaison with third party vendors to obtain valuations of moveable and immovable assets of estate, and
correspondence of same
• Liaison with internal/ external party to determine tax liability of estate, incl collation of all documentation
relating thereto, and following up on outstanding items
• Attend to property transfers; share transfers, motor vehicle transfers as applicable
• Preparation of liquidation and distribution accounts
• Preparation of payments pertaining to the administration of estate
• Client liaison: timeous response to queries relating to estate matters for beneficiaries and heirs
