This is an exciting opportunity to join the Supply Chain team at Head Office in Stellenbosch in the role of Logistics Controller, planning and coordinating primary logistics. .

Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily Primary logistics transportation planning and scheduling – critical to be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality • Manage primary cost by applying least cost routing principals • Investigating and processing of transporter claims • Manage and maintain the transport system and related queries. • Record and report key performance indicators on a weekly and monthly basis • Identify cost saving initiatives and implement solutions in conjunction with operations • Liaise daily with relevant 3rd party transporters and internal facilities and departments. • Take ownership of requisition and transport scheduler system. • Manage daily and monthly administrative duties

Required Skills

• Supply Chain diploma/degree or relevant operational experience • At least 2 years’ experience in Primary transport allocation and planning • Knowledge of BPCS System or similar ERP System • A resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills • Customer oriented, assertive with problem-solving skills • Result driven, innovative with good decision-making skills • Accurate and attention to detail • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel)
