Job Purpose

To plan, manage, and monitor area-specific activities and end-to-end processes. Manage internal operations and resources in the compliance risk business unit to align with other stakeholders. This ensures cross-team coordination and delivers on approved operational plans while improving service delivery.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Taxation, Risk Management, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field. Plus 5-7 years’ experience in Tax and Risk Management, including 1 year at a supervisory level.

Alternative:

  • Senior Certificate (NQF 4) plus 10 years’ related experience in Tax and Risk Management, including 1 year at a supervisory level.

Minimum Functional Requirements

  • Ability to help team members perform well according to audit standards.
  • Strong skills in planning and allocating resources for effective performance.
  • Competence in managing team activities to meet production targets with quality and timely standards.
  • Ability to apply governance, risk management, and compliance procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of tax and compliance principles.
  • Working knowledge of risk management systems and processes to identify and reduce risks.

Process

  • Help team members perform optimally according to audit requirements.
  • Regularly interact with the Business Area Manager in Compliance Risk for better coordination.
  • Work with Audit Ops Managers to share knowledge between teams and produce high-quality work.
  • Use allocated resources effectively to achieve results.
  • Manage team activities to meet production targets within quality and time standards.
  • Gather information to report progress, make decisions, and find improvement opportunities.
