Requirements

Education:

  • Mandatory: Basic Ambulance Assistant Certification
  • Preferred: HPCSA Clinical Practice Guidelines training (available during probation if needed)

Experience:

  • Minimum: 6-12 months road BLS experience
  • Ideal: 2 years road BLS experience

Essential Knowledge:

  • Local geography and facility locations
  • HPCSA regulations and scope of practice
  • Emergency medical best practices
  • Emergency care documentation procedures
