Position Details:

• Employment Type: Full Time
• Required Qualification: Higher National Certificate
• Required Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Department: Emergency Medical Services

Core Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to emergency calls
• Provide intermediate pre-hospital medical care
• Maintain emergency response readiness
• Uphold professional standards in patient care
• Represent ER24’s values during community interactions

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:
– Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certification
– OR Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care

Preferred Training:
Health Professions Council Clinical Practice Guidelines compliance (training provided if needed)

Experience Needed:
– 1 year emergency medical service experience
– Intermediate Life Support (ILS) experience preferred

Key Competencies:

• Current HPCSA registration and protocols knowledge
• Emergency medical best practices
• Proficiency in English (verbal/written)
• Geographical knowledge of operational areas
• Basic computer literacy
