Position Overview
We’re seeking qualified Emergency Medical Assistants to provide intermediate medical care during emergency responses in accordance with professional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls
- Deliver intermediate-level pre-hospital medical care
- Maintain emergency response readiness
- Uphold professional standards and public trust
Requirements
- Certification: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate/Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in EMS (ILS experience preferred)
- Current knowledge of HPCSA clinical guidelines
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Advantageous Skills
- Training in latest Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Local geographical knowledge
