Position Details
Job Type: Full Time
Qualification: Higher National Certificate in Emergency Medical Care
Experience: 1+ years in EMS (ILS experience preferred)
Location: Bloemfontein, Free State
Field: Medical/Healthcare
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls
- Provide intermediate life support care within HPCSA guidelines
- Maintain ambulances and medical equipment readiness
- Complete accurate patient records and documentation
- Uphold professional standards and company reputation
Education Requirements
- Essential: Certified Ambulance Emergency Assistant or Higher Certificate in Emergency Medical Care
- Preferred: Completion of HPCSA Clinical Practice Guidelines training (required during probation if incomplete)
Required Skills
- Proficiency in emergency medical protocols
- Strong geographical knowledge of service area
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Effective communication in English
