Main Purpose of the Job

To work as a scrub practitioner, circulator, and anaesthetic assistant under the indirect supervision of a professional nurse. Also, to help in the recovery room under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Provide safe, quality patient care at all times, working with the multi-disciplinary team and following theatre standards.
  • Prepare effectively for the peri-operative phase of an assigned theatre list.
  • Follow infection prevention and control rules to reduce clinical risks.
  • Use equipment and pharmaceutical stock efficiently to avoid financial risks.

  • Essential Education: Operating Department Assistance Diploma

  • Theatre environment and operations
