Greater Kokstad is a local municipality in KwaZulu-Natal, within the Harry Gwala District Municipality. It forms part of the family of four local municipalities, including Ubuhlebezwe, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and Umzimkhulu, all under the Harry Gwala District Municipality.

Salary: PL 06 – R 392 855.16 per annum plus normal fringe benefits of GKM.

Requirements:

  • Matric plus a three-year tertiary qualification, such as a Degree or Diploma in Public Management, Human Resources Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field in Performance Management.
  • At least three years of experience in performance management or a related role in Local Government or the Public Sector.
  • Good communication skills, with proficiency in IsiXhosa/IsiZulu and English. A valid Code B Driver’s License and computer literacy are required.

Duties:

  • Implement the Performance Management System across all levels in the Municipality.
  • Develop and implement the PMS Policy and Framework.
  • Review and implement outcomes from the organizational PMS tool or process to track actual performance against planned targets.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and submit compliance documents to National Treasury, Provincial Treasury, CoGTA Finance, CoGTA PMS, and the Auditor General.
  • Ensure proper filing of all PMS documents.
  • Coordinate administrative functions related to performance assessments.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports.
  • Calculate payments for performance bonuses where applicable.
