Eskom, South Africa’s leading electricity provider, generates around 95% of the country’s electricity and plays a critical role in the continent’s energy supply. Eskom is seeking an Officer: Material Planning in the Free State, responsible for managing supply chain operations, ensuring effective inventory management, and maintaining supply chain efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma or National N Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Finance at NQF 6 level with 240 credits.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related supply chain experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Material Planning:
    • Conduct forecasting and time-phased replenishment planning (TPRP) to ensure timely availability of stock items.
    • Analyze inventory data to maintain an optimal balance between stock levels and demand.
  2. Customer Service Support:
    • Enable superior customer service by ensuring that materials are available when required by the business unit.
  3. Supervisory Duties:
    • Perform supervisory tasks to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to internal procedures.
  4. Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  5. Inventory Optimization:
    • Optimize stock levels and replenish items as needed to maintain business continuity and efficiency.
    • Administer SAP workflow to support material planning and supply chain operations.
