About Us:
The Road Accident Fund provides compulsory insurance cover for drivers in South Africa, offering protection against liability from traffic collisions (excluding property damage).
Position Summary:
We seek four detail-oriented professionals to investigate claims, verify documentation, and support fair settlement processes. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in preventing fraud and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Investigation & Assessment
- Conduct field investigations including accident scene analysis and witness interviews
- Document investigations with photographs, sketches, and affidavits
- Identify potential fraud cases and escalate appropriately
- Provide court testimony when required
Administrative Support
- Verify claimant documents (employment records, SARS filings, identity verification)
- Validate accident details through NATIS and Cross Check systems
- Produce regular progress reports
Records Management
- Maintain secure, organized filing systems
- Ensure confidential handling of sensitive documents
Stakeholder Engagement
- Address claimant inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with internal and external partners
Requirements:
Education:
– NQF Level 7 Qualification (Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma)
– Valid Driver’s License
– Investigation training or fraud certification (advantageous)
Experience:
– 3+ years in claims investigation or related field
– Familiarity with merit/quantum assessments (preferred)
