Key Requirements:
- A valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) and willingness to travel within the Metro.
- An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage occupational therapy services for a designated area.
- Manage people, including rehab care workers, students, and volunteers.
- Liaise and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Screen, assess, and intervene as required and appropriate.
- Link patients to suitable levels of care.
Experience Requirements:
- Grade 1: No experience required after HPCSA registration for South African qualified employees. For foreign qualified employees (not required to perform community service in South Africa), 1 year of relevant experience after registration.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after HPCSA registration for South African qualified employees. For foreign qualified employees, a minimum of 11 years’ relevant experience after registration.
- Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience after HPCSA registration for South African qualified employees. For foreign qualified employees, a minimum of 21 years’ relevant experience after registration.
