Position Details
Role: Nursing Assistant
Type: Full-Time
Location: Gauteng
Experience: 3+ years in Occupational Health
Education: Matric with nursing qualification
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct basic health assessments (blood pressure, weight monitoring)
- Perform certified medical tests (HIV counselling, audiometry, lung function)
- Maintain confidential medical records in compliance with regulations
- Educate staff on health management and medication use
- Coordinate medical referrals and specialist appointments
- Support workplace safety through risk assessments
- Manage First Aid supplies and emergency response readiness
Requirements
- Valid Nursing Assistant/Ambulance Assistant qualification
- SANC/HPCSA registration
- Certifications: First Aid Level 1, HCT, Audiometry & Spirometry
- Computer literacy for record keeping
- 3 years’ relevant health sector experience
