Requirements

• Grade 1: No prior experience required.
• Grade 2: At least 10 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
• Grade 3: At least 20 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
• Knowledge of basic nursing care, procedures, nursing laws, and related legal rules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
• Current registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
• Willingness to work overtime, shifts, night duty, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
• Ability to assist in all departments based on operational requirements.

Duties

• Provide high-quality basic nursing care to patients.
• Deliver simple clinical nursing services.
• Follow all relevant nursing laws and regulations.
• Help patients with daily activities, including nutrition, mobility, and personal care needs.
• Maintain professional growth, ethical standards, and personal development.
• Keep accurate records of patient care.
• Use human, material, and physical resources wisely and effectively.

Salary and Benefits

• Grade 1: R174,261 – R199,254 per annum
• Grade 2: R203,271 – R230,694 per annum
• Grade 3: R239,559 – R298,932 per annum
• Plus annual benefits: 13th cheque, employer’s pension fund contribution, housing and medical aid allowances.
