Role Overview

As a Tier 0 IT Consultant Intern you will be the first point of contact for users. You will learn how to support, troubleshoot, and document IT issues in a global managed‑services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests accurately.
• Help users with common problems such as password resets, access requests, and basic troubleshooting.
• Escalate more complex issues to senior teams while following structured support processes.
• Participate in training programmes and contribute to knowledge‑base documentation.
• Learn IT service management standards, security practices, and customer engagement skills.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates with South African ICT‑aligned qualifications. The following levels are suitable:

• NQF Level 5 – Entry‑Level IT Qualifications (Preferred)
  • Higher Certificate in Information Technology
  • National Certificate: IT (Systems Development / Systems Support)
  • National Certificate: Computer Science
  • Higher Certificate in Software Development
  • Higher Certificate in Information Systems
  • Higher Certificate in Network Engineering / IT Support
• NQF Level 6 – Diploma / Advanced Certificate (Highly Suitable)
  • Diploma in Information Technology
  • National Diploma: Information Technology
  • Advanced Certificate in IT
  • Diploma in Software Development
  • Diploma in Network Engineering / IT Systems
• NQF Level 7 – Degree Level (Accepted for Graduate Pipeline Roles)
