District Coordinator – Namakwa District

Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract
Education Requirement: Matric + Relevant Diploma/Degree (Preferred)
Experience Needed: Minimum 3 Years in Project Coordination
Location: Northern Cape (Must Reside in District)
Department: Community Work Programme (CWP)

About the Role

Coordinate sustainable implementation of community development initiatives across Namakwa District. Ensure alignment with local priorities while maintaining compliance with national program standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead district-wide implementation of CWP activities
  • Manage partnerships with local stakeholders and service providers
  • Monitor program outputs and financial accountability measures
  • Facilitate training programs and skills development initiatives
  • Prepare detailed performance reports (monthly/quarterly)
  • Coordinate community engagement through Local Reference Committees
  • Ensure proper asset management and documentation systems

Essential Requirements

  • Matric Certificate + Post-Matric Qualification in:
    – Public Administration
    – Community Development
    – Project Management (or related field)
  • 3+ years’ coordination experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Local residency within district boundaries
