Program Structure:
- Comprehensive 3-year professional training program
- Focus on Municipal Finance Management Act implementation
- Practical exposure to municipal budgeting and treasury operations
- Aligned with National Treasury’s competency requirements
Key Focus Areas:
- Financial management systems and controls
- GRAP standards implementation
- Risk management frameworks
- Internal audit processes
Candidate Requirements
- Residency in Garden Route District (Knysna/Plettenberg Bay/George/Mossel Bay/Oudtshoorn/Hessequa/Kannaland)
- Completed 3-year qualification (NQF Level 7) in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Business Management
- Grade 12 certificate
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- Commitment to full programme participation
Important Notes:
- Successful candidates must sign internship agreement
- Subject to municipal disciplinary code
- Annual salary adjustments per SALGBC determinations
- Open to female candidates only
