Located 1370km² north of Pretoria in North West province, Moretele Local Municipality serves as a strategic hub connecting four provinces since its establishment in 2000. The organization derives its name from the Setswana word for the local Moretele River.
Position: Multi-Skilled Operator
Employment Type: Full Time
Education Requirement: Grade 12 Certificate
Experience Needed: Minimum 3 years with heavy machinery
Location: North West Province
Salary Range: R342,932.16 – R356,821.32 per annum (Excluding benefits)
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PDP
- Proven experience in construction/road maintenance operations
- Machine operation certification (advantageous)
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery (low bed trailers, rollers, water carts)
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks and report equipment issues
- Collaborate on road maintenance projects
- Support infrastructure development teams
