Description

  • Study the effects of different agronomic practices on the yield of underutilized legumes.
  • Investigate how agronomic practices impact soil health and soil microbial dynamics.
  • Examine how agronomic practices influence legume nodulation, nitrogen fixation, growth, and yield.
  • Isolate and characterize root nodule bacteria from soils under various agronomic practices.
  • Publish research findings in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

  • BSc or BTech in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, or Biological Science.
  • Basic knowledge of soil microorganisms, especially soil bacteria, and/or soil science.
  • Understanding of agronomic practices in smallholder farming systems.
  • Experience in greenhouse and/or field experiments is an advantage.
