Description
- Study the effects of different agronomic practices on the yield of underutilized legumes.
- Investigate how agronomic practices impact soil health and soil microbial dynamics.
- Examine how agronomic practices influence legume nodulation, nitrogen fixation, growth, and yield.
- Isolate and characterize root nodule bacteria from soils under various agronomic practices.
- Publish research findings in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
- BSc or BTech in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Crop Science, or Biological Science.
- Basic knowledge of soil microorganisms, especially soil bacteria, and/or soil science.
- Understanding of agronomic practices in smallholder farming systems.
- Experience in greenhouse and/or field experiments is an advantage.
