Minimum Requirements
- Matric certificate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid operator’s competency certificate
- Medically fit
- Valid First Aid Certificate
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Proven experience as a Mobilift driver with verifiable references
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mining environment
- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely operate the telehandler to move materials, equipment, or personnel as needed
- Accurately perform lifting, transporting, and positioning of items at various heights
- Maintain records of fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and machine condition
- Effectively communicate with supervisors, team members, and maintenance personnel
- Coordinate lifting operations with other workers
- Adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of pre-use checklists and record-keeping
- Plan lifts by assessing loads, environments, and available equipment
