Job Description:

Unique Personnel, a leading recruitment agency with over 35 years of experience, is seeking a qualified and experienced Merchandiser / Driver to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective merchandising and driving activities to maximize sales and maintain high standards in stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and optimize merchandising space in stores, ensuring proper stock allocation and display.
  • Ensure all allocated spaces are fully stocked and merchandised according to company standards.
  • Gain and maintain in-depth product knowledge, including best sellers, slow sellers, and item codes.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to maximize sales and store performance.
  • Perform physical tasks such as merchandising, restocking, and traveling to stores.
  • Demonstrate efficiency and skills in carrying out job duties.
  • Assist and learn from sales representatives to improve overall performance.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and report overstocking or understocking issues to management.
  • Provide feedback on store visits, including photographs of before and after merchandising activities.
  • Ensure all company vehicle policies are followed, including regular maintenance and mileage reporting.
  • Submit daily call reports and weekly feedback for process improvements.
  • Follow product planograms and ensure proper display of stock in stores.
  • Maintain merchandising kits and ensure they are used correctly in all stores.
  • Report customer complaints and incidents immediately to the relevant managers.
  • Wear prescribed uniform and provide excellent customer service in stores.
