Basic Requirements:

– MBChB degree or equivalent qualification
– Registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Independent Medical Practitioner
– Computer literacy essential

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide comprehensive medical services at 1 Military Hospital (inpatient/outpatient care and emergency management)
– Supervise junior medical staff and interns
– Participate in clinical training programs and academic lectures
– Maintain active Continuing Professional Development (CPD) participation
– Manage patient referral systems within approved treatment guidelines
– Adhere to Department of Defence confidentiality protocols
– Participate in commuted overtime system
