About Us:

The City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, Gauteng’s dynamic local government authority, seeks candidates to join our technical team.

Requirements:

• Grade 10 certificate or N2 Mechanical Engineering qualification
• South African citizenship with Ekurhuleni residency (must specify ward number)
• Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any municipal job program
• Basic workshop mechanical knowledge
• Physical capability for manual labor
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)

Core Responsibilities:

• Support maintenance teams with vehicle/equipment repairs
• Maintain workshop organization and tool management
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements
• Assist with equipment inspections and reports
• Handle materials and assist with job documentation
• Participate in daily operational reporting
