Marketing Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing Administration

  • Accurately capture information on prospective students, appointment forms, and applications into SIMS and related reports.
  • Enter all leads into the correct campaigns, such as interest cards, online applications, online inquiries, and walk-ins.
  • Work closely with the Head of Student Recruitment to provide database statistics for marketing reports, including presentation trackers and sales reports.
  • Manage all marketing stock and promotional materials.
  • Ensure interview rooms are stocked with the right marketing materials.
  • Assist Student Advisors with database administration and related correspondence.
  • Maintain the accuracy of data across all systems for prospective students and applicants. Collaborate with the Sales Analyst to ensure reports are balanced and information is correctly entered.

General Activities

  • Support the planning of events like open days and career fairs as needed.
  • Make calls to assist the student recruitment team during busy periods. This includes database calls, as well as calls to schedule interviews and follow up with applicants, as directed by the Head of Student Recruitment.
  • Handle any additional tasks assigned by the Head of Student Recruitment from time to time.

Competencies Required:

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High accuracy in typing and data entry
  • Microsoft Office skills, with intermediate Excel proficiency
  • Problem-solving abilities

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Matric is essential. A relevant 3-year Diploma or Degree is recommended but not required.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of administration experience. Sales experience is an advantage.
