Position Overview

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• National Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Water Care (NQF 6) or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (advantageous)
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• 8 years’ experience with 3 years in water/sanitation management
• Professional registration eligibility
• Knowledge of Green Drop/Blue Drop certification programs
• Proficiency in relevant legislation and technical frameworks

Key Responsibilities

• Manage wastewater treatment plants and pump stations
• Maintain compliance with effluent quality standards
• Optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
• Develop accurate operational data records
• Manage budgets and inventory control
• Ensure health/safety compliance
• Lead team performance and development
