Core Responsibilities
Training System Management
- Oversee aviation training programs and inspection processes for training organizations
- Approve SACAA curriculum, training materials, and flight simulation devices
Quality Assurance
- Develop practical oversight systems for aviation personnel training
- Monitor standards compliance with ICAO requirements
Regulatory Compliance
- Update Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) and Technical Standards (CATS)
- Implement policy improvements for aviation personnel licensing
Team Leadership
- Manage inspector teams to meet performance objectives
- Mentor staff and promote skills development
Industry Relations
- Collaborate with aviation stakeholders to enhance training standards
- Address industry concerns and maintain SACAA’s professional image
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- NQF Level 6 Diploma in Management/Business/Engineering
- Valid aviation license (CPL/ATPL/Air Traffic Control/Aircraft Maintenance/SAAF Pilot)
- 4-7 years aviation experience OR 2-3 years supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
- NQF Level 7 qualification
- Aviation instructor certification
