Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (NQF Level 7)
  • Valid registration with South African Council for Social Service Professions
  • 10 years’ post-qualification experience including 5 years in Social Work Policy Development
  • Valid driver’s license (exemption applies for persons with disabilities)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement substance abuse prevention policies
  • Establish and oversee anti-substance abuse centers
  • Coordinate provincial Substance Abuse Forum activities
  • Design community substance abuse prevention programs
  • Lead capacity-building initiatives for field officers and volunteers
  • Manage financial and administrative operations
