Position Details:

Salary Range: R660,072 – R856,716 annually
Benefits: Pension, medical aid, group life insurance, vehicle allowance, housing subsidy, 13th cheque

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Public Management, Administration, Law, or related field
  • 4-5 years supervisory experience in municipal administration/strategic management
  • Proven experience managing council committees
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license
  • Computer literacy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning and policy development for municipal operations
  • Coordinate council committee activities and decision-making processes
  • Advise the Municipal Manager on governance and compliance matters
  • Monitor implementation of council resolutions and policies
  • Oversee councilor induction programs and ethical compliance
  • Manage internal/external communications for the Municipal Manager’s office
  • Coordinate interdepartmental programs and strategic initiatives
  • Administrate office budgeting and financial management
