Key Responsibilities
Occupational Safety Compliance
- Implement OHS standards aligned with national regulations
- Coordinate with emergency services for crisis preparedness
Safety Program Management
- Develop workplace safety training programs
- Conduct annual risk assessments and mitigation planning
- Maintain emergency response protocols
Incident Management
- Lead accident investigations and reporting
- Analyze trends to improve safety measures
Policy & Reporting
- Update safety policies and operational guidelines
- Prepare management reports on compliance status
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health/Safety (Master’s preferred)
- 6-8 years’ operational safety experience
- Knowledge of OHS Act 85 of 1993 and related regulations
