About the Role
Lead the strategic management of library services across Breede Valley Municipality. Oversee library operations, staff supervision, budget management, and community service alignment with municipal objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement library service strategies
- Manage 7 libraries and multiple mini-libraries
- Supervise staff training and performance
- Control operational and capital budgets (R3.1m annual budget)
- Ensure compliance with national library standards
- Coordinate with provincial education departments
- Manage infrastructure and resource allocation
Requirements
- 4-year qualification in Library/Information Science
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Proficiency in two official Western Cape languages
- LIASA membership required
- National Treasury competency compliance
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office essential)
