Reporting To: Director: Planning, Economic Development, Tourism & Agriculture

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Town/Regional Planning, Development Studies, or Public Management/Administration
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in local government
• Valid driver’s license
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of IDP, Town Planning, and Performance Management legislation

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of Integrated Development Plans (IDP)
• Manage Performance Management Systems (SDBIP, Annual Reports)
• Coordinate spatial development frameworks and land use schemes
• Develop municipal planning policies and bylaws
• Monitor departmental performance scorecards
• Facilitate intergovernmental relations and stakeholder engagement
• Oversee land administration and development projects
