Purpose

Lead the development, implementation, and management of ICT Service Desk and End Rights Support functions to align with organizational objectives and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in IT/Computer Science
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (mandatory)
  • MCSE/CCNA certifications (advantageous)

Experience

  • Proven track record managing ICT service desks
  • Experience in technical desktop/laptop support environments
  • Knowledge of IT asset management systems

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Develop strategies for IT service delivery aligned with business goals
  • Monitor service desk performance metrics and SLAs
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives

Technical Management

  • Oversee hardware/software support for 1,000+ endpoints
  • Implement self-service knowledge base and customer portal
  • Manage incident resolution processes and escalation protocols

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Update systems per regulatory changes

Team Leadership

  • Manage 10+ technical support staff
  • Conduct performance reviews and skills development
  • Promote collaboration across departments

Budget Management

  • Control R5M+ annual IT support budget
  • Optimize resource allocation
